Welcome to The Village Idiots' club website!
We are avid collectors and displayers of Department 56 villages, as well as other village lines and collectibles. Our members live in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington metropolitan area, and other parts of Oregon and Washington.
Organized in 1989, The Village Idiots is one of the oldest Dept. 56 collectors clubs in the country. Our membership currently consists of a very enthusiastic group of around 50 households.
The purpose of our club is to socialize and share information about Department 56 villages. But we also focus on supporting local charities by raising and donating funds, and creating displays during the holidays for places like the Ronald McDonald House and nursing homes.
Whether you are new to "villaging" or a long-time collector, we would welcome you as a guest at one of our regular club meetings. Meetings are great fun! Read more about them on the Meetings page.
